"A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry,
and see a fine picture every day of his life
in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful,
which God has implanted in the human soul."

Walk a little more. And when you do, walk a little slower. Look up a little more than you did before. When you write, write a little slower. Cross your t’s and dot your i’s. Write a little more than you did before. When you read, take in every word. And read a little more than you did before. When you talk, talk a little slower. In fact, say little less, and listen a little more. And when opportunity arises, take it. Stop waiting and start doing… A little more.
Love my Lyds.
I’m coming back, London…wait for me.

So, I walked into the library today, and I was approached by a guy who had on extremely weathered clothes and a long, scraggly beard. He was looking for a road atlas of the whole United States.
We found him one, and he studied it for a while. As he was handing it back he gave me a big smile and lugged his traveler’s backpack onto his shoulders and went out the door.
Part of me wants to be able to live like that guy. All of his possessions in the world were on his shoulders, and essentially, he had everything he needed. What struck me so much about that guy was that there was true life in his eyes. His body looked tired and worn out, but his face was the face of an adventurer, and I admire that.
I don’t know if I’d ever drop everything and go out on the open road, but I’d like to have the face of an adventurer, too.

…my boy is wonderful.
I am far too blessed.

I WILL be productive! Yes. I am absolutely determined to study, study, study for finals today, and clean, clean, clean up my room and the surrounding areas. It is time to organize! Yes.
My motivation for today is brought to you by Dr. Seuss:
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
It’s time to go places, folks! :) Have a lovely Saturday!
Very happy.
Sometimes I’m terrified of my heart; of its constant hunger for whatever it is it wants. The way it stops and starts.
